A Guiding Light To Financial Freedom

Why A Lighthouse?

Why a lighthouse for a blog theme?

Being very perceptive, you can probably guess why I chose a lighthouse for this blog theme.

Even so, permit me to elaborate.

The intent or “Real Wealth Talk” is to be a Guiding Light to Financial Freedom.

Obviously, a lighthouse guides ships from running aground or crashing on the rocks. It is also an important navigational aid… for those not fortunate to have GPS!… how times have changed!

Well, that is the purpose of this blog.  It is intended to provide a place where like-minded people can share ideas, and learn from others how to solve employment problems, and become financially independent… so that they don’t have to worry about being employed, or finding employment anymore!

One of my favorite quotations along these lines is:

Half the wrecks that strew life’s ocean, if some star (lighthouse) had been their guide, might in safety now be riding, but they drifted with the tide.   Napolean Hill

Napolean Hill spent a lifetime studying what he calls “The Laws Of Success”.  And he wrote a book with that title (now out of print).  But he authored another which is now a classic… and you have probably heard of it i.e, “Think And Grow Rich”.

Well, guess what?  The first “Law” pertains to the importance of having a “Definite Chief Aim” (goal) in life. He likened this law as being just as important in a person’s life as a rudder is to a ship. Without a rudder, a ship goes in circles and gets nowhere.  With a rudder, it can complete it’s destination with ease, and on schedule.

Come to think of it, that is what sunk the great German Battle Ship… Bismark.  A torpedo damaged it’s rudder and it could only go in circles… thus becoming easy prey to attacking forces.

But I digress!

Think how many years can be wasted by not having a worthy goal to strive for!

Hopefully, this blog will provide an inspirational spark… an idea… a concept… motivation… to initiate or revitalize your goal setting agenda and give you directions, in your efforts to obtain your goals in life.
